CHALLENGE

To create and produce a high-quality publication, on a limited budget, for newly emigrated children to help integrate them into the Ontario educational system.

GOAL

Create a coffee-table style book at minimal cost for 600 Elementary submissions and 250 Secondary submissions.

SOLUTION

Developed a standardized artwork submission template which allowed Maracle to batch scan artwork submissions. Colour correction and image enhancement methodology was developed by Maracle to automatically correct image defects and optimized the look of each piece of artwork for press.

RESULT

With minimal designer involvement, Maracle was able to manufacture these books below budget and in quantities that exceeded expectations. As a result, a greater appreciation of the Board’s educational efforts to build awareness of the newcomer student experience was elevated within the community.
